Roosevelt Harris, 65, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died July 5, 2003, at home following a long illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1937 in Lamount, Fla., to the late Emerable and Martha Harris. He was educated in Lamount. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Frank Gidden, Sr. and he worked for National Executive Maintenance Association at Holiday Inn before his retirement. 

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Espanola, Fla. Officiating: Rev. Dr. Frank Gidden, Sr. Calling hours: Today from 6-7 p.m at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Burial: Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast. 

Survivors: One son, Sgt. 1st Class, Rodney Harris, Fayetville, N.C.; five daughters, Cynthia Johnson and Debbie Sims, Bunnell, Fla., Angela Bennett and Mary Harris, both of Daytona, and Brenda Harris, St. Petersburg, Fla.; five brothers, Odester Harris, Espanola, Clifford Harris, Bunnell, Wilbert Harris, St. Petersburg, Robert Harris, Hollywood, Fla., Emerable Harris, Jr., Miami; and god brother, Robert L. Smith, Bunnell; sisters, Mary Jane Welcorne and Verna Golden, both of Gainesville, Lorraine, N.Y., Barbara Jean Gray, St. Petersburg, Joann Harris, Mary Ann Harris and Shirley Harris, all of Miami; god sisters, Marie H. Smith, N.C., and Corrine Reddin, Ormond Beach.
