DAYTONA BEACH - Kenneth Lorinzo Johnson, 63, of Cadillac Drive, a route driver for Culligan Water Co., died Friday at home. Born in Ormond Beach, Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a member of the New Bethel A.M.E. Church, Ormond Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Truddie; two sons, Denzil Sykes, Daytona Beach, and Freddie Underwood, Palm Coast; a daughter, Wanda Underwood, Bunnell; three brothers, Willie Johnson, Daytona Beach, Pasco Johnson, Orlando, and Eldridge McCray, Cross City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Gainous is in charge.

Funeral service for Kenneth L. Johnson, 63, Cadillac Drive, Daytona Beach, who died Friday, July 8, 2005, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at St. James Baptist Church, Bunnell, with the Rev. Elijah Emmanuel officiating. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.

Calling hours are from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today (Friday, July 15) at R.J. Gainous Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, Bunnell.

Mr. Johnson was born in Ormond Beach and was a lifelong native of Volusia County. He was a member of New Bethel A.M.E. Church, Ormond Beach, a route driver for Culligan Water, retired custodian for Volusia County Public Schools and co-owner of "Club Magic" nightclub.

Survivors include his wife, Truddie Mae Johnson, Daytona Beach; sons, Freddie Underwood (Wendy), Denzil Sykes (Michell); daughter, Wanda Underwood; brother, Willie Johnson, Pasco Johnson, Eldridge McCray; grandchildren, Felicia Underwood, Rezea Underwood, Kimberly Small, Eden Underwood, Michael Underwood, Jaquetta Johnson, Denzil Sykes II, Antoine Wilson Jr., Brandon and D'Atra Sykes, Courtney Thomas; great-grandchildren, Jeiden and Joseph Jamar Small; mother-in-law, Mattie Lorick; eight sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; one godson; four godsisters; two godbrothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and caregiver, Janice Boatwright.
