Ethel Mae Bass-Jones was born August 15, 1921, in Wiggins, Miss., and passed away April 30, 2007, in Florida Hospital Flagler County. She was united with her husband, Willie Jones for 57 years before his departure in 1991. Funeral service for Mrs. Bass-Jones will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ (COGIC), 503 S. Church St., Bunnell. Visitation is today (Thursday, May 3) at 7 p.m. at the church.

She leaves to mourn 12 loving children, Wilhelmenia, Willie Mae, Flossie, Elizabeth, Willie West, Peggy, Lula, Fannie, Walter, Michael, Ronnie, Rhonda; a special sister-in-law, Peggy Bass; 44 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mother Ethel Jones, 85, of Bunnell, died April 30, 2007, at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast. Mother Jones was a native of Wiggins, Miss., and had resided in Bunnell more than 70 years. Mother Jones was a homemaker and was educated in Flagler County School System. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of God in Christ, Bunnell. Officiating: The Rev. Willie Durden, pastor. Calling hours: Were held yesterday. Burial: Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast. 

Survivors: Wilhelmenia Matthews and Elizabeth Rhodes, both of Morristown, Pa., Willie Mae McCall, Bunnell, Flossie Bush, Detroit, Willie West Jones, Gainesville, Peggy A. Haines, Battle Creek, Mich., Lula Mae Williams, Rhonda D. Jones, Ronnie D. Jones and Michael Jones, all of Palm coast, Fannie Jones Holloway, Quincy, and Walter Jones, Atlanta; 33 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ethel Jones, 85, of 1103 Lincoln St., Bunnell, died April 30, 2007, at Florida Flagler Hospital, Palm Coast. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of In Christ in Bunnell with Pastor Willie Durden officiating. 

Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast. 

She was born in Wiggins, Miss. She moved to Bunnell 70 years ago. 

Mother Ethel loved to fish. 

She had 12 children — Wilhelmenia Matthews of Norristown, Pa., Willie Mae of Bunnell, Flossie Bush of Detroit, Elizabeth Rhodes of Norristown, Pa., Willie West of Gainesville, Peggy A. Haines of Battle Creek, Mich., Lula Mae Williams of Palm Coast, Fannie Jones Holloway of Quincy, Walter L. Jones of Atlanta, Michael Jones of Palm Coast, Ronnie D. Jones of Palm Coast and Rhonda O. Jones of Palm Coast. She has 44 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. 

Services are being handled by Coleman's Mortuary of Hastings.
