		      Catherine Melvin Smith, 57, Bunnell, died Jan. 6, 2001, at Halifax Medical  Center, Daytona Beach. She was a lifelong resident of Bunnell, and she was a  member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, Bunnell. She was executive  housekeeper and a member of the National Executive Housekeeping Association.  She was the executive housekeeper for the Holiday Inn, and she was employed by  Ormond Memorial Hospital for more than 10 years. 
		      
		      Funeral services will be held at  10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, Bunnell, with Elder  Willie Durden, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery,  Palm Coast. Friends may call at the church from 5-7 p.m. Friday, and from 9  a.m. Saturday until the hour of services. The family will gather at 1203 S. Bay  St., at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for the cortege. 
  
		      Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Smith, Bunnell; sons, Robert Lee  Smith Jr., Bunnell, Wallace F. Smith, Daytona Beach, Michael A. Smith, Bunnell;  a daughter, Essie Mae Smith, Bunnell; brothers, John Melvin, Daytona Beach,  Alphonso E. Melvin, Bunnell; sisters, Irene Nolan, Daytona Beach, Corrine  Giddens, Bunnell, Ella Mae Etienne, Mary Melvin, both of Daytona Beach, Rozetta  Washington, Bunnell; 19 grandchildren and other relatives. 
		      
		      Chase and Son Funeral Home is in  charge of arrangements.
