ESPANOLA – Willie Lee Smith, 60, Railroad Street, was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday evening at Community Hospital of Bunnell. He had a long illness.
A native of Georgia, Mr. Smith moved to Bunnell 40 years ago from his birthplace. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Espanola, where he served on the board of deacons.
Survivors include his widow, Alberta; two sons, Arthur L., Fort Lauderdale, and James E., DeLand; five sisters, Ethel Lee Douglas, Daytona Beach, Alberta Harris, Fort Lauderdale. Hemrietta Ebeberhart, Tifton, Ga., Edna Mae Verdell, Lakewood, N.J. and Catherine Thomas, Clearwater; three brothers, Elder Andrew Williams, Daytona Beach, and Joe Louis Williams and Henry Williams, both of Bunnell; two stepsons; five stepdaughters; and eight grandchildren.
