Artie Steward, 70, Bunnell, Fla., died Dec. 10, 2013 at his residence. Artie was born to the late Georgia Woods and Leon Steward. Artie was loved by everyone; he touched the lives of many people. He was a graduate of G.W. Carver High School Class of 1961. Artie's characteristics were being a comedian, strong willed, and loving his grandchildren. He will be missed so much.

Artie was preceded in death by his grandmother; Catherine Baxley, aunt, Edith Raiford, son, Michael Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 43 years, Betty Steward, and four children, Annette Toumbs and Tammy (Olin) Steward, Tiffany Steward (Twon) Albert and Darren (Eyeshia) Steward; other survivors, sons, Christopher Lang, James (Bridgett) Davis; daughters, Valerie Verdell and Tracey Bell.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Espanola, Fla., the Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens Sr., pastor and eulogist. Interment will commence at Masonic Cemetery in Palm Coast.
