Funeral Service for Wiley Thomas, 73, Bunnell, Florida, who died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Grand Oaks Health & Rehab Center, Palm Coast, will be 12 noon Saturday, October 9 at First Baptist Church of Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell, FL 32110. Visitation is Friday, October 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Fellowship Restoration Church, 2550 U.S. 1 North, Bunnell, FL. Burial will be Saturday following the service at Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.

Mr. Thomas was born in Falmouth, Florida (Suwannee County) and moved to this area over 70 years ago. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, Ranger Paving Company, Daytona Beach following 31 yrs of employment. He attended Flagler County School District, Bunnell, FL. He was a former deacon at St. James Missionary Baptist Church; had a passion for horses, cowboy hats, and auto racing and always had a humorous story to share.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jeanette Ford-Thomas, Bunnell; Children: Annette Lasitter, Emma Jean McDonald, Brenda (Stefan) Jenkins, Rose Walker, Wayne Walker, Jeffrey (Sandy) Ford, all of Daytona Beach, Queen Smith, Gainesville, Clara (Elvis) Murray, Joe Walker, both of Palatka; Windy (James) Ford-Butler, Wiley S. (Vivian) Thomas, both of Palm Coast; Delores Walker, Tampa; Ronald (Temeca) Ford, Bunnell; Gregory (Deborah) Thomas, Clovits, NM; Anthony (Sherill) Ford, Richmond, VA; Darryl Ford, Atlanta, GA; brother, Lewis Taylor, Syracuse, NY; mother-in-law, Tessie Hill, Bunnell; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Williams, Orlando; Sue (Bob) Burns, Palm Coast; Diane Oliver, Kissimmee; 42 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
