W. F. Cothron Dies; Funeral To Be Monday


William Frank Cothron Sr., 83, 39 Sanford St., died Friday in a local hospital.

A life-long resident of St. Johns County, he was born in Moultrie. He was with the East Coast Canal Company for many years, and he was a dredge boat cap­tain with the government, retiring in 1948. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home, with L .C. Lowson, minister of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Craig chapel from 3 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Agnes B. Cothron, St. Augustine; two sons, William F. Cothron Jr. and James M. Cothron, both of Miami; one daugh­ter, Mrs. J. W. Beachem, St. Augustine; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
