Sally L. Croyle, 74, of St. Augustine, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 17, 2005. She was born in Harrison Township, Pa. and had lived in Freeport, Pa. for many years. She had resided in St. Augustine since 1973, moving here from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. In partnership with her husband Gary E. Croyle, Sr., she founded and operated Croyle Funeral Home and was active in the business for more than 30 years.

Sally L. Croyle, 74, of St. Augustine, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 17, 2005. She was born in Harrison Township, Pa., and had lived in Freeport, Pa,. for many years. She had resided in St. Augustine since 1973, moving here from Fort Lauderdale. In partnership with her husband, Gary E. Croyle Sr., she founded and operated Croyle Funeral Home and was active in the business for more than 30 years.
She was a member of the Breakfast Club and the Lunch Bunch, the National Association for Family & Community Education, the PEO Club St. Augustine Chapter, the Woman's Exchange of St. Augustine, the Peacemakers Quilting Guild and the Ancient City Needlers.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Anastasia Baptist Church with Dr. Clarence Blaylock and the Rev. Joe Butler officiating. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Pellicer Creek Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary E. Croyle Sr. of St. Augustine; a daughter, Susan Croyle Flautt and her husband, Mike, of St. Augustine; a son, Gary E. Croyle Jr. and his wife, Christine, of St. Augustine; sisters, Mart Kerr and her husband, Herb, of Freeport, Pa., Marilyn Westerman and her husband, Sonny, of Freeport, Pa.; a brother, Robert Cunningham and his wife, Nancy, of Freeport, Pa.; and grandsons, Chris, Reese and Garrett.
