Bessie Hall, 96, died March 28, 2001, at Regents Park, Jacksonville. She was born in Hastings, Sept. 25, 1904, and she had resided in Orange Park, St. Augustine and Jacksonville. She retired in June 1962 as a personnel assistant for the U.S. Government Base, Green Cove Springs.
She was a member of Etoniah Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with Elder Albert Altman and the Rev. Warren Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 6 to 8 p.m., today.

Survivors include a brother, Alton F. Hall; nephews Melvin Harvey, Donald Beaver, Jay B. Neal and Ronald Hall; nieces Doris Register, Edna Rachels, Agnes Huddleston, Pat Grey, Barbara Flanders, Cynthia Howard, Kay Vogelin, Earline Outman, Debbie Ash and Aljean West. Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
