Zachary Grantham Holland, Jr., 84, died on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at Charles A. Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, N.C.
Born in Flagler County, Fla., on Aug. 27, 1918, he was the son of the late Zachary Grantham Holland, Sr. and Flora Maude Deen Holland. Mr. Holland was a farmer and a produce broker. He was a member of Southern Methodist Church. He was a dual member of Masonic Lodge #200 in Bunnell, Fla., and Masonic Lodge in Hastings, Fla., where he was past master of both lodges; he was a member of Morocco Temple Shriners in Jacksonville, Fla.; director, National Potato Council; director, Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association, and was also a great story teller.
Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Mary Ketus Deen Holland of the home; two sons, John Grantham Holland and wife Mindy of Duluth, Ga.., and William Zachary Holland; one sister, Marjorie Palmquist, Bunnell; grandson, Vincent Berkeley Holland; granddaughters, Mary Katherine Holland, and Sarah Michelle Holland; great-grandson, Zachary Grantham Holland, III, and great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Renee Holland.
Memorial services will be held today, Aug. 13, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in Linville Falls Community Church with Dr. Larry Bond and Rev. Keith Tutweiler, officiating. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Pellicer Creek Cemetery in St. John's County, Fla.

LINVILLE, N.C. - Zachary Grantham Holland Jr., 84, of Linville, a native of Flagler County, died Saturday at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Linville.
Mr. Holland was a retired farmer and produce broker. He was a member of Brethren Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and Morocco Temple Shriners and was director of the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association. He enjoyed storytelling.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, John and William; a sister, Marjorie Palmquist; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children c/o Morocco Temple AAONMS 15, P.O. Box 16039, Jacksonville, FL 32245-6039.

HOLLAND, ZACHARY GRANTHAM, JR. - Graveside service for Zachary Grantham Holland, Jr.., 84, Linville Falls, N.C., who died Saturday, August 9, 2003, at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Linville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, at Pellicer Creek, Cemetery, County Road 204, St. Johns County.
Mr. Holland was born August 27, 1918, in Flagler County, where he resided for many years before moving to his home in Linville. He was a retired farmer and produce broker. He was a member of Brethren Methodist Church and active in many local Methodist churches, and also helped to organize the Southern Methodist Church, St. Augustine.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #200, Bunnell, Masonic Lodge of Hastings, and Morocco Temple Shriners Organization. Other achievements in his life was past master of Bunnell Lodge Masonic Order, past master of Hastings Lodge Masonic Order, director of National Potato Council, director of Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association, and was a great story teller.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ketus Deen Holland, Linville Falls; two sons, John Grantham Holland and William Zachary Holland; grandson, Vincent Berkeley Holland; two granddaughters, Mary Katherine Holland and Sarah Michelle Holland; great-grandson, Zachary Grantham Holland III; great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Renee Holland; sister, Marjorie Robertson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zachary Grantham Holland Jr., age 84, of Linville Falls died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Charles A. Cannon Jr. Memorial Hospital in Banner Elk. A memorial service will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Linville Community Church. Westmoreland Funeral home is assisting the family.
