Roy Irvin

DELAND - Roy Irvin, 80, of West Euclid Avenue, a retired dispatcher for Gator Dock & Marine, Sanford, died Monday at Mariner Health of DeLand.

Mr. Irvin, an Army veteran of World War II who served as a staff sergeant, was born in Altoona, Pa., and moved to DeLand 34 years ago from Bunnell. He was a member of Barberville Masonic Lodge 66, the Scottish Rites, the Shriners and Order of the Eastern Star No. 51.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ida; a son, Gregory, Vera Beach; a daughter, Elea­nor Hart, Ormond Beach; three brothers, Charles, Harrisburg, Pa., Kenneth, Ocala, and Richard, Hastings; three sisters, Ruth Prough, Huntington, Pa., Thelma Rupert, East Brady, Pa., and Sally Mazza, Vero Beach; and two grandchildren.
