Jeannette Blackwelder McMullian, 77, died Nov. 11, 2008, at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. She was a beloved LPN and foster mother for seven years.

She was the daughter of the late Roy Pellicer Blackwelder Sr. and Eva Sims Blackwelder.
A women after God's heart, dedicated to her family and foster children, she became a nurse at age 54 to care for the elderly.

She will be dearly missed by her children and family. Once joined again with her dearly beloved husband, James D. McMullian.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Don Rimer officiating. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Roy Blackwelder Jr., and sisters Pauline Brown and Geneva McBride.

She is survived by her seven children, James D. (Mary) McMullian, of Alaska, Jeanner R. (Roger) Linker, of Tennessee, Jodye M. (Ken) Whitcomb, of Callahan, Fla., Deborah Dupont, of St. Augustine, Jeffrey (Vicki) McMullian, of Minneola, Fla., Joanne (Eddie) Tart, of St. Augustine and Jennifer McMullian, of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchldren; stepmother, Mickey Blackwelder; sister, Agnes Coop; brother, Richard (Olivia) Blackwelder; several nieces and nephews.

Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements.
