JOSEPH (J.B.) PELLICER

BUNNELL – Joseph (J.B.) Pellicer, 48, St. Johns Park, brother of Bunnell Mayor Hubert Pellicer, died Friday morning at Bunnell General Hospital after an extended illness. 

He was born in Gunnell and was a lifelong resident of Flagler County. He was engaged in farming and ranching. 

Mr. Pellicer was a member of First United Methodist Church. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of VFW Post 5213. He was also a member of the Flagler County Cattleman’s Assn. and Flagler County Farm Bureau. 

Other survivors include his wife, Naomi; one daughter, Theresa; two sons, Donald and Mack; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Cockrell, Mrs. Peggy Salyards and Mrs. Louise Hatcher, all of the Bunnell area; and two brothers, Melton and Herschel, both of the Bunnell Area. 

Craig, Bunnell, is in charge. 

PELLICER, JOSEPH (J.B.) – Funeral service for Mr. Joseph (J.B.) Pellicer, 48, St. Johns Park, who passed away Friday morning at the Bunnell General Hospital, will be a 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bunnell First United Methodist Church. Reverend Earle Wilder, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery. 

Calling hours at the Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, will be from 3 until 9 p.m. today, 8 a.m. until 12 noon Sunday, and at the church, from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. 

Mr. Pellicer was born in Bunnell and was a life long resident of Flagler County. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Bunnell First Methodist Church, the VFW Post 5213, the Flagler County Cattlemen’s Assn., and the Flagler County Farm Bureau. He was engaged in farming and ranching. 

Survivors include his wife, Naomi, a daughter, Miss Theresa Pellicer, both of St. Johns Park; two sons, Mack, Daytona Beach, and Donald, St. Johns Park; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Pellicer, Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Cockrell, Bunnell, Mrs. Peggy Salyards and Mrs. Louise Hatcher, both of Daytona Beach; three brothers, Melton and Hubert, both of Bunnell, and Herschel, Daytona Beach.

Joseph B. (J.B.) Pellicer, 48, St. Johns Park, died Friday morning at Bunnell General Hospital.

Born in Bunnell, he was a life­long resident of Flagler County, where he was engaged in farming and ranching. He was a member of Bunnell First United Methodist Church, Flagler County Farm Bureau, Flagler County Cattlemen's Association, and VFW Post 5213. He was a veteran of WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi; a daughter, Miss Theresa Pellicer; St. Johns Park; two sons, Donald Pellicer, St. Johns Park; and Mack Pellicer, Daytona Beach; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Pellicer, Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. Bea Cockrell, Bunnell; Mrs. Peggy Salyerds and Mrs. Louise Hatcher, both of Daytona Beach; and three brothers. Milton and Hubert, Bunnell; and Herschel Pellicer, Daytona Beach.

Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Bunnell First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Earle Wilder, pastor, officiating. Interment was at Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Donald Moore, Danny Johnston, Walton Kinney, Cordell Robertson, Lloyd Robertson and Harold Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Broadaway, Herschel King, Larry King, Harold Higginbotham, Clifford Higginbotham, Wallace Weeks and Cecil Hayes.
