Thomas Wilson Pellicer, 82, of Pomona Park, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at Roberts Hospice Care Center following an extended illness.

A native of Screven, Ga., he had resided in Putnam County since 1974, coming from Keystone Heights. He retired in 1985 after 11 years as the park superintendent at the Ravine Gardens in Palatka. Prior to moving to Putnam County, he had worked in the same position at the Gold Head Branch State Park in Keystone Heights for 3 years. He was also a Navy veteran of World War II and served eight years in the Navy. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Palatka and had attended the San Mateo Presbyterian Church. He loved animals, the outdoors and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Pellicer and Irene Bazzel Pellicer and three sisters, Rophiner White, Dorothy V. Presslet and Annie Everett.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara Pellicer of Pomona Park; son, Thomas Christopher Pellicer and wife, Velma of Interlachen; stepdaughter Kathryn Everett and husband, Jesse of Lake Butler; brother, George Pellicer of High Springs; two sisters, Melba Henschen of St. Augustine; and Theresa Tedder of San Mateo; four grandchildren; niece and nephew, Harold and Cathy Payne of St. Augustine.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 8, at Pellicer Creek Cemetery in St. Johns County with Rev. Noel White officiating.
