Stanton Sheets Dies; Memorial Rites Saturday

Stanton A. Sheets, 69, Rt. 7, Box 256, Stratton Blvd., St. Augustine, died Thursday afternoon in Flagler Hospital. He was a native of Hastings, and a lifelong resident of St. Johns County.

He was retired from the Florida East Coast Railway where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Craig Funeral Home, with the Elder Koch officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to the St. Johns County Heart Fund.

Survivors include his wife Laverne Sheets, St. Augustine; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Dunn, St. Augustine, and Mrs. Melinda Stiner, Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Barney Cubbedge, Crescent Beach; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
