Angela Carpenter Wadsworth, member of one of the pioneer Flagler County families, died Monday night in Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville. 

Born in Edna, Texas, she was married to Lewis E. Wadsworth June 1, 1936, and resided at the Princess Estate in Bunnell since that date.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell and attended school at Montverde Academy in Montverde.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Virginia Wadsworth of Boulder, Colo.; a son, Lewis E. Wadsworth III of Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. Christine Black of Minneola, Mrs. Malcolm (Halcyon) Boyce of Lawrenceville and Mrs. Wendell H. (Jean) Clark of Cobb, Ga.; a brother, K.L. Carpenter of Americus, Ga., and two grandchildren, L.E. Wadsworth IV and Britt E. Wadsworth, both of Bunnell.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the graveside at the Princess Estate with the Rev. Bud Ware, former pastor of First Baptist Church of Bunnell, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Hal Marchman, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Daytona Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends send memorials to Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, P.O. Box RBR, Palatka, or to their favorite charity.

Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell is in charge of arrangements.
