Amorette Wells

BUNNELL -- Amorette Claire Wells, 95, of Deen Road, a retired seamstress and cook, died Friday at home.

Mrs. Wells came here in 1912 from Baxley Ga., her birthplace. She was a member of First Baptist Church, its Dorcas class and the Women’s Mission Union.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Ketus Holland, Linville Falls, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great­grandchildren.

Craig, Palm Coast, is in charge.

WELLS, AMORETTE CLAIRE - Funeral service for Amorette Claire Wells, Deen Road, Bunnell, who died Friday at home, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, 1997 at First Baptist Church of Bunnell.  The Rev Scott Conner will officiate. Interment will follow in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.  Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home, Palm Coast from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs Wells was born in Baxley, GA., and moved here in 1912 from there. She retired as a seamstress and cook.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell, Dorca's Class and Women's Mission Union.

Survivors include one sister (actually a half-sister) Mary Ketus Holland, Linville Falls, NC;  four granddaughters, Cherry Platt, Lakeland;  Lorraine Hawkins, Palm Coast; Elizabeth Hall, Atlanta, GA; and Joy Davis, St Augustine; three grandsons Bill Bowers, Jr. and Henry Bowers, both of Baxley, and Jimmy DuPont, Flagler Beach; 17 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home, Palm Coast, is in charge of arrangements.
