Mr. Wells was at various times an insurance salesman, publisher of an early TV News Magazine in St. Augustine, and a welder for Fruehauf Corp. at the Jacksonville Shipyards, retiring in 1989.

He was a life member of Elks Lodge No. 820, member of the Moose Lodge, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the FEC Railway Society.

He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and friends. He was never too busy to lend a helping hand to a neighbor. He could always "fix it." He loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. He holds a special place in the hearts of his many friends and loved ones and he will be missed.
