Nea Wells Wright

Mrs. Nea Wells Wright, 68, a former Daytona Beach resident and widow of T. J. Wright, former director of the City Transit Dept, died Wednesday night in North Miami after a long illness.

Born in Jacksonville, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Daniel Wells, an aviation pioneer. He assisted the Wright Brothers in their efforts and also invented the "joy stick," used to steer aircraft. Mrs. Wright moved to Daytona Beach as a child and was a resident here until her recent illness. She supported the activities of her husband, who managed his father's Ocean Pier Casino and was Holly Hill Police Chief and Chief Deputy of the Volusia County Sheriff's Dept. for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Ella Jane, now of Gainesville, Mrs. Joyce Wright Padova, now of North Miami, and Jodie, now of Macclenny; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Baggett-McIntosh is in charge.
