Phillip Zimmerle

BUNNELL - Phillip M. Zimmerle, 53, of Opossum Lane, the president of Zimmerle Construction Co. for 13 years, died Saturday at home.

Mr. Zimmerle was born in St. Augustine, and moved to Bunnell as a young child. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Flagler County Cattlemen's Association where he was honored by having his name dedicated to Cracker Day this year. He also was a member and former president of the Flagler County Fair and Youth Show.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; two sons, Donald "Bubba", Palm Coast, and Phillip, Bunnell; a daughter, Amanda Harding, Palm Coast; his father, Homer, Chapel Hill, Tenn.; three brothers, Charles, Mike, and Dan, all of Tennessee; two sisters, Pat Cody, Bunnell, and Kim Lewis, Oregon; and five grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129; or to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 335, Bunnell, FL 32110.

ZIMMERLE, PHILLIP M.- Funeral service for Phillip M. Zimmerle, 53 Opossum Lane, Bunnell, who died at home Saturday, November 30 2002, will be 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, December 4) at First United Methodist Church, Bunnell. Interment will follow at Pellicer Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Zimmerle was born in St. Augustine and was raised in Bunnell. He was the president of Zim­merle Construction Inc. for 13 years, former president of Flagler County Fair and Youth Show, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Bunnell, and Flagler County Cattleman's Association, where he was recently honored by having Cracker Day dedicated to him.

Mr. Zimmerle is survived by his wife Of 30 years, Rita; father, Homer D., Chapel Hill, Tenn.; sons, Donald (Bubba), PalmCoast, and Phillip Edward, Bunnell; daughter, Amanda Harding, Palm Coast; brothers, Charles, Mike and Dan, all of Tennessee; sisters, Pat Cody, Bunnell, and Kim Lewis, Oregon; and grandchildren, Matthew McMahan Harding, Kaylin Bannister and Sterling Leavitt, all of Palm Coast, and Kayla, Clayton and Kelsey Simmons, all of Bunnell.
