Mrs. Mary E. Prevatt. 71, passed away here yesterday afternoon following an illness of some length.

A pioneer resident of Seville, she is survived by three children, O. W. Prevatt, a son, and Mrs. Ida Belle Owens, both of Seville and Mrs. Hattie Lee Christilles of Dallas, Tex.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 at the Baptist Church in Seville.

Clayton Frank of Crescent City is in charge.

Funeral services for Mary E. Prevatt, 71, were held at the Seville Baptist Church Friday at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. I. S. Murphy, assisted by Rev. H. A. Bain, pastor of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Prevatt died at her home Wednesday afternoon after a long illness. She was the widow of the late George M. Prevatt. She was born and reared in Meriwether County, Ga., coming to Seville in 1892 where she has since made her home.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. T. M. Prevatt and Mrs. Delia Prevatt of Seville; one son and two daughters, O. W. Prevatt and Mrs. Belle Owens of Seville and Mrs. C. C. Christilles of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Jeanette, Lawton and Malcolm Owens, and George and Wallace Prevatt; one great-grandchild, Harry Prevatt.

Pallbearers were; John Graham, William Ruth, E. C. Byrd, George Causey, Tolbert Varnes and S. J. King.

Interment was made in the Seville Cemetery. Clayton Fran undertake of Crescent City was in charge and there were many beautiful floral offerings.

Among those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Bert Roberson and daughter, Miss Geraldine Roberson; Olaf Prevatt, Ear Prevatt and Miss May Jo Prevatt, all of Jacksonville; Marion Arnold of Charlotte, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wells and Mrs. Pauline Capron of Orlando.
