Frank Albert Abel, Jr.
Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Frank Albert Abel, Jr., 64, of Palm Coast, FL, who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Family will be receiving guests from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the memorial room at the church. Inurnment will take place immediately following the mass in the columbarium at the Church.
Frank was born on April 19, 1951 to Alberta "Birdie" and Frank Abel in New Rochelle, New York. An only child, Frank attended Holy Name Grammar School, he was class president of eighth grade and was awarded as the top lineman for the youth tackle football league, and he was the top tight end the league has ever seen.
He graduated from Iona College with a Business Management Degree and was employed by the Olivitti Corporation in the credit and collection department on Park Avenue in New York City. He was later promoted to auditor and traveled throughout the country. After 10 years at the Olivitti Corp he was employed by the Culbro Corp as a credit manager for 3 years. Then Frank was employed by the Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York for 22 years.
He retired in 2008 to move to Palm Coast to take care of his father until his passing in March 2015.
Frank is survived by his Uncle James and Aunt Gloria Alfano of Palm Coast, FL, Aunt Mary Louise Young of Port Charlotte, FL, and many cousins.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Frank Abel Sr. and his mother Alberta "Birdie" Abel.
The family of Mr. Abel entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
