Family will be receiving guests from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. in the memorial room at the church, inurnment will take place immediately following the mass in the columbarium at the Church.

Mr. Abel was born on Christmas Day 1929 in Mt. Vernon, New York. He graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School in New Rochelle, NY. Frank served his country in the United States Navy from 1946 until 1950 aboard the USS Missouri.

He and his wife "Birdie" were the owners of Knopfler's Lunchonette in New Rochelle for 25 years. Frank later went to work for the New York State Municipal Housing Authority before retiring and moving to Palm Coast in 1993. Frank was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Frank suffered from Diabetes for over 60 years, but was fighter all the way. Frank's favorite hobby was reading, he is said to be an avid reader.

Frank was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, "Birdie" in 2007.

He is survived by his only child Frank Abel Jr.

The family of Mr. Abel entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
