Edwin L. Downey

Mass of Christian burial, celebrating the life of Edwin L. Downey, 88, of Palm Coast who passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Florida Hospital Flagler will be on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Family will be receiving guests on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in the memorial room at the church.

Edwin was born in Philadelphia, PA, and moved to this area in 1986 from Philadelphia. Edwin served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Edwin received his Masters Degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He enjoyed baseball, football, traveling and reading. His interests included the Holy Lands among others.

Edwin was predeceased by his wives Leona and Roasair and is survived by his son Philip Downey and his wife Lorraine of Marlton, NJ. Sister, Cheryl McGraw of Philadelphia, PA, and grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Kevin, and Colin and his wife Diane, and many cousins.

Inurnment will be on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Columbarium at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Donations may be made in Edwin's name to: Outreach Program at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic, 4500 Belle Tare Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.

The family of Mr. Downey entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
