https://cache.legacy.net/legacy/images/Cobrands/News-JournalOnline/Photos/180214CHARLESHOEY.eps_20180213.jpg A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles James Hoey Jr., 90, of Palm Coast, FL, who passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018 will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the memorial room of the church. Inurnment will take place immediately following mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Columbarium.

Charlie was born in Kittanning, PA in 1927; he is pre-deceased by his parents, Charles Sr. and Mary, and his three sisters Maxine, Esther and Louise.

Charlie was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Following his service, he graduated Marietta College in Ohio. He worked almost his entire career as an accountant for Union Carbide Corporation, from which he retired in 1984, and moved to Palm Coast, where he and his wife Dode were active members of Mother Seton Catholic Church, The VFW, The Elks Club and the Irish Social Club.

 Charlie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dora (Dode) Bowers, his three children, Michael (Nancy) Hoey of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Patricia (Tom) Restaino of Griffin, GA (formerly of Palm Coast); and Beth Ann (Steven) Nelson of Jacksonville Beach, FL. Charlie has four grandchildren (Jonathan and Brian Restaino, and Danielle Lee and Austin Jay Nelson), along with great-grandson Logan Thomas Restaino.

The family of Mr. Hoey entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
