Pasqaule "Pat" Palumbo

Pasquale “Pat” Palumbo, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023. He was born May 21, 1934 in the Bronx, New York to the parents of Nicola and Antoinette (Donatiello) Palumbo.

Pat grew up in the Bronx and graduated from the Food Trades Vocational High School in 1953. Pat served in the Army in Germany from 1957 to 1959. After leaving the Army he began his long and successful career in the restaurant industry, working in such well known New York City restaurants as Dominic’s Steak House, Luchow’s, Club 1407, and the Algonquin Hotel. He met and served countless celebrities, sports figures, and politicians through the decades.

Pat married Elizabeth Olivet in 1963. They were married 53 years until her death in 2016. They moved to Manalapan, New Jersey where they raised their family. Pat and Betty retired to Palm Coast, Florida in 1996.

Pat was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He volunteered as an usher and in the kitchen preparing and serving meals for his fellow parishioners.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Michael (Francis) and Nicholas (Carol). He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth (Michael) Ferguson and Patricia Palumbo, his grandchildren Michael Palumbo, Anthony Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson, and Isabella Sanchez, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 12th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast. The family will receive friends at 10 am. Funeral Mass at 12 noon with interment immediately following. Luncheon will be held at the church after the services.
