Candido Perez Rabino, aka Dido, Nonoy, Didong, 84, of Palm Coast, FL, beloved and devoted husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away with his wife at this side on November 30th, 2022, in his home in Rockledge, FL.

A viewing will be held at 10am, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Funeral services will follow at 11am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Rev. Jose Panthaplamthottiyil, CMI officiating.  A reception will be held at 3pm at James Holland Memorial Park. Plans for cremation and placement in the columbarium of St Elizabeth Ann Seton to be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are by Lohman Funeral Home.

Candido was born in the town of Cajidiocan, on the island of Sibuyan, Romblon, Philippines to Apolonio and Isabel Perez Rabino on September 13, 1938.  He went to school and grew up there close to the beach where he would often go fishing.  He married Josefina Ladao Caangay on December 18, 1966 in Manila, Philippines. He graduated from FEATI University, Institute of Engineering and Technology, in Civil Engineering. He immigrated to the United States in 1971 followed by his wife and children in 1972. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the state of Pennsylvania for 26 years in Harrisburg, PA, where he was highly involved with the Philippine American Association of Central Pennsylvania (PAACP). He, along with his wife, Josie, traveled with the PAACP, helping on medical mission trips. In retirement, he and his wife moved to Palm Coast, FL, to be closer to family and live the seaside life of 20 years in the warm sun. In retirement he continued to support family and friends and was involved with the local Philippine American Association and even served for a time as president. Dido and Josie moved to Rockledge, FL in 2022. Favorite past times included fishing, ping pong, karaoke singing, playing the piano, Black Jack, Mahjong, ballroom dancing, bowling, socializing, eating whatever he caught fishing, and entertaining all those around him with bad dad jokes and colorful stories.

Dido is preceded in death by his baby son, Carmello; siblings, Isagani “Ganing”, Angeles “Liling”, Evencio “Ben”, and Gilda “Nene”; parents Apolonio and Isabel Perez Rabino.

Dido is survived by his wife, Josefina Rabino; his children, Ronaldo (Cathy), Marietta (Stephen), and Monica (Joy); his grandchildren, Tyler (Isabelle), Zachary, Marlee, and Camille; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
