He is predeceased by Gaspare and Martha Scandariato, his parents and Michael (and Catharine) Scandariato and Leonora (and Carman) Scandariato Cerullo, his siblings.

Jerome was born in the Bronx, NY and graduated from Columbus HS in 1948 and soon after was inducted in to the U.S. Army where he served honorably during the Korean Conflict assigned to the Occupation Forces in Austria. He attained the rank of Sgt.

It was there that he met and married his late wife of 52 years Maria.

His recent companion of 10 years was the late Gertrud Kazlanckus. He always felt blest to have two such wonderful women in his life.

He was the owner of a successful commercial office design firm in NYC called JMS Designs.

After closing his business in the 90's he relocated to Palm Coast, FL., where he became active in the VFW and gained some fame with his ability to set sales records for his Poppy Sales and his participation in other major fund-raising events and for his devotion to the organization.

 He was also active with the Italian American War Vets, Sons of Italy and was a 3rd Degree member of his local Knights of Columbus Council.

His younger brother Joseph M. Scandariato, Sr. and his wife Marie of Hamilton, NJ survive him.

While he never had children of his own he called all his nieces and nephews his children and he and his late wife Maria were lovingly devoted to all of them as they were to him.

He is survived by nephews and nieces Mark, Joseph, Jr. (and Tanya) and Maria Scandariato of Cary NC, and Winnetka and Chicago, IL and John, Gaspare (and Francesca) and Michael Cerullo of Danbury CT, Cortland NY and Cheshire CT and, Catherine Scandariato and Michael Scandariato, Jr. of Long Beach, NY, and all his many grand nephews and nieces. He leaves a legacy of love, devotion and generosity with all he knew and especially with his family and his church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his cousin Msgr. Richard Bellow of the Diocese of Charlotte, NC, at the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast. Visitation will be held at the Church on Sept 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the celebration of the Mass. Interment will be in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium.

The family of Mr. Scandariato entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
