Wannell Prevatt Alt, passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Care Center in Orange City on Saturday March 25th after an extended illness. She was 85.

Mrs. Alt was born in Baxley, Georgia and came to live in the Seville area from Baxley when she was a young child. She worked as a nurse's aide at John Knox Village and Hugh Ash Manor for many years and she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Deland.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Prevatt, Sr., and Leonard Alt; her sons John Prevatt, Albert Prevatt and daughter Mary Lee Prevatt.

She is survived by her son George L. Prevatt, Jr. (Sandra) of Seville, and step son, Jeff Alt of Miami; daughters, Diane Prevatt of East Palatka, Teresa Prevatt of Lake Mary and Sandra Prevatt of Deland; Twenty-six grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests for viewing and visitation at the First Baptist Church of Seville from 11:00 AM to the time of service at 12:00 Noon with Reverend officiating. Burial will follow services at Seville Cemetery.
