Elbert L. Bennett, a Seville native and life resident, died Sunday afternoon in West Volusia Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.

Mr. Bennett was a former Volusia County public works department employee in the roads and bridge division.

Survivors are his wife, Susie: three sons, Walter of Pierson, Elbert L. of Crescent City and William E. of Seville; two daughters, Hilda Marie Bell of Bartow and Joan Carolyn McLauchlin of Seville; two sisters, Evelyn Knowles and Minnie Peterson, both of Seville; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
