DELEON SPRINGS - James A. Bennett, 43, of Mitchell Street, a floral designer, died Sunday at Flor­ida Hospital-DeLand, DeLand.

Mr. Bennett was born in Daytona Beach and moved to DeLeon Springs in 1998 from Dothan, Ala.
Survivors inc1ude a son, Keegan, DeLeon Springs; a daughter, Kami Bennett, DeLand; his parents, Albert Bennett, DeLeon Springs, and Ilene Lawler, Bunnell; three brothers, George Bennett and Kenny Herndon, both of Barberville, and Rooster Herndon, Astor; five sisters,  Jeanie Herndon, Emporia, Debbie LeBlanc, Pierson, Lisa and Barbie Herndon, both of DeLeon Springs, and Roses Gayhart, Pomona Park; and a grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to the James Bennett Memorial Fund, c/o Colonial Bank, 106 N. Center St., Pierson, FL 32180.

BENNETT, JAMES A. - Funeral service for James A., Bennett, 43, Mitchell Street, De­Leon Springs, who died Sunday, August 19, 2001, at Florida Hospital, DeLand, will be 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 22, at Emporia Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Seville Methodist Cemetery. Calling hours are, today from noon until service time at the church.
