E. C. BYRD OF SEVILLE DIES IN DELAND

DELAND – Edward Christian Byrd, 67, resident of Seville for more than 30 years, died at 3:05 a.m. today at DeLand Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. A native of Bamberg County, S. C., he was a merchant and citrus grower.
Survivors include his widow, Helen A., and a son, Julian, both of Seville; three daughters, Mrs. Tom Underhill, DeLeon Springs, Mrs. G. C. McArn, Bunnell, and Mrs. J. H. Conrad, Seville; two brothers, C. A. Seville, and J. E., Branchville, S. C.; three sisters, Mildred Byrd, Seville, Mrs. J. E. Parker and Mrs. Thomas Wright, Branchville, and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Seville Methodist Church with Rev. C. B. North officiating. Burial will be in Seville Cemetery.

Edward Christian Byrd, 67, Seville, died this morning at DeLand Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.
A merchant and citrus grower, Mr. Byrd had made his home in Seville for the past 30 years. He was a native of Bamberg County, S. C. where he was born 16 Sept. 1884.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen A. Byrd, Seville; 1 son, Julian L., Seville; 3 daughters: Mrs. Tom Underhill of DeLeon Springs, Mrs. G. C. McArn of Bunnell and Mrs. J. H. Corad of Seville; and 3 grandchildren. Other survivors include: C. A. Byrd of Seville; J. E. Byrd of Branchville, S.C. (both brothers) - 3 sisters; Mrs. J. E. Parker and Mrs. Thomas Wright both of Branchville, S. C. and Miss Mildred Byrd of Seville.
Services will be held Thursday at the Seville Methodist Church with burial in the Seville Cemetery.
