Mrs. Helen A. Byrd, 67, of Seville and mother of Mrs. G. C. McArn of Bunnell, died in a hospital in DeLand last Friday.
Mrs. Byrd spent many summers at Flagler Beach where the family had a summer home.
She was the widow of Edwin C. Byrd, who died three years ago. Mrs. Byrd was born in Pierson.
Survivors besides Mrs. McArn Here include a son, J. L. Byrd of Seville; two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Mae Underhill of DeLeon Springs and Mrs. Marcelle Conrad of Seville; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Mae Clarkson of Lake Helen and Mrs. Mary Baker of Pierson.
Funeral was held Sunday in Seville.

PIONEER RESIDENT DIES AT HOSPITAL
Mrs. Helen A. Byrd, 67, pioneer West Volusia resident died today at Fish Memorial Hospital, DeLand where she had been a patient for the past four weeks.
Mrs. Byrd was born 28 April 1886 at Pierson and had spent all her life in the west Volusia area. She was the widow of the late Edward C. Byrd.
Survivors are: a son, Julian L., Seville; three daughters: Mrs. Lottie Mae Underhill, DeLeon Springs; Mrs. Sadie Lee McArn of Bunnell; and Mrs. Marcelle Conrad of Seville; two brothers James E. Cade of Seville and Jake Cade of Pierson, two sisters; Mrs. Sallie Mae Clarkson of Lake Helen and Mrs. Mary Baker of Pierson; and four grandchildren.
