Donald "Don" Causey, 81, of Palatka, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, following an extended illness.
Don was born in DeLand and grew up in Seville. He had been a resident of Palatka for the past 16 years, coming from Callahan. He was a graduate of Seville High School. He had worked as a supervisor for the Sunshine Biscuit Co. in Jacksonville for 22 years and he had worked for Standard Coffee Service for 13 years. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Francis Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Causey and Paul Causey; and two sisters, Alma Richardson and Marjorie Pearce.
Don is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Suckow Causey of Palatka; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Brenda Causey of Greenwood, and Gary and Stephanie Causey of Jacksonville; three stepsons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Suckow of Mississippi, Jerry and Pam Suckow of Jacksonville, and Gary and Nancy Suckow of Alabama.
No services are scheduled.
