Charles Harry Clegg, 15, of Bunnell died Sunday morning in the Bunnell General Hospital from injuries sustained in a truck accident Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred on State Road 304 in the Haw Creek section. Charles was a passenger in a pick-up truck driven 'by John Cody, which turned over.
Born August 29, 1951 in Daytona Beach, the youth had lived all his life in the Haw Creek Community. He had completed the tenth grade at Bunnell High School where he was a member of the Beta Honor Society; was active in school sports, playing football and basketball; a member of the 4-H Club and received the American Legion Citizenship award in 1965. Charles was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell and the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church of Bunnell at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon with the Rev. Oliver Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Seville Cemetery, Seville, Fla.
Charles is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Clegg; one sister, Susan Clegg and a brother, David Clegg, all of Bunnell; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Eberley Davis, Sturgis, Ky.; Mrs. Harry Clegg, paternal grandmother, of Bunnell.
Pallbearers were Dan Cody, John Cody, Mike Robinson, Buddy Taylor, Martin Tucker and Phillip Zimmerle.
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell was in charge of arrangements.
