FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR BETTY COLEMAN

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Betty Coleman of Waldo who was killed Sunday morning in a two car crash near Palatka. She was the wife of Walter Coleman of Waldo and Seville, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott of Flagler Beach.

She attended the Bunnell High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1961. She was a former resident of Flagler Beach. She was 22 years or age. Following her marriage in 1961 she resided in Seville and more recently in Waldo.

The body rested at the Community Memorial Church in Flagler Beach from 11 a. m., Wednesday until noon. Funeral service was held from the Trinity Methodist Church of Seville at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. John T. Pennington and Rev. Lowell Shaw officiating. Burial followed in the Seville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Coleman and two sons, Walter 3rd, and Matthew, all of Waldo; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott of Flagler Beach; 1 sister, Sandra Abbott; four brothers, Robert Abbott, Jack Abbott Jr., Dale Abbott and Michael Abbott all of Flagler Beach.

Mr. Coleman, and his two sons were seriously injured in the wreck and are in the Putnam Memorial Hospital for treatment. Another passenger in the car, Donald Simms of Hawthorne, was also killed in the wreck. The driver of the other car involved was booked in the Putnam County Jail, charged with driving on the wrong side of the road.
