Funeral services for Matthew C. Coleman, age 63, were held at the Seville Baptist Church last Monday afternoon 23 Nov. with Rev. E. S. Ritch, assisted by Rev. J. M. Sullivan.
Born in Swainsboro, Ga. on 2 June 1879 he came with his family to Seville in 1926.
Mr. Coleman is survived by two daughters: Mrs. B. A. Wheeler of Kite, GA., and Mrs. Hazel Cowart of Seville; six sons – Woodie, M. C. and Harry, all of Seville, Neil of Jacksonville, Johnnie of Crescent City, and Wilson of Camp Wheeler, Macon, Ga.; six sisters - Mrs. J. L. Price, Mrs. Owen Sumner, Mrs. J. E. Henry, Mrs. T. E. Swinson and Mrs. Jack Durden, all of Swainsboro; and Mrs. Anthony Philips of Soperton. Ga.; three brothers - E. E. Coleman of Savannah, Lester Coleman of Swainsboro, and Barney Coleman of the U. S. Marines
Key-McCabe Funeral Home of St. Augustine in charge.
