A funeral service for Hilda Edna Cowart, 81, of Bunnell will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 1:00PM at The First Baptist Church of Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Parkway. Interment will follow at Seville Cemetery. A visitation will be held the evening before on Tuesday, April 26, from 5:00-8:00PM at the church.

Edna passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011. She was born on December 30, 1929 in Seville, FL to the late Edward and Ruby Peterson (Phillips). Edna has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell since 1964. She was a poll worker for Flagler County for many years. She had a servant's heart and ministered to many in her community. She was a great listener. Her greatest enjoyment in life was being with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Cowart in 2000 and her young son, Edward Cowart in 1958.

Survivors include her son, Walton and his wife Elaine Cowart of Bunnell; David and his wife Jenny Cowart of Bunnell; daughter, Barbara and her husband Steve Kennerly of St. Augustine; 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Annie, Nichole, Jake D., Brittany, Jake C., Chloe, Carson, Hope, Jacob and Kindall; two great-grand-children, Zeke and Gunner.

Donations in her memory may be made to Florida Baptist Children's Home, 1015 Sikes Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33815.
