William Raymond Cowart, 73, pioneer Volusia cattleman and citrus grower of Seville died yesterday at his home. Mr. Cowart was born at Seville, November 2, 1876 and with other members of his family, was active in the cattle business for many years. He had retired some time ago.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sallie Cowart; 5 sons, Emory, Dunellen, Fla.; Otis, Center Hill; Major and Herbert, Seville; Cecil, Charleston, West Virginia; 2 daughters: Mrs. Ruth Murphy, Miami and Mrs. Maude McCutcheon, Leesburg; and one brother, Charles Cowart.

Services will be at Seville on Thursday with the Rev. I. A. Murphy of Ocklawaha officiating; also the Elk’s ritual will be used.

Burial will be at Seville Cemetery.
