SEVILLE – B. Durward Creel, 79, of Lakeview Drive, retired from Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Auto Train, Inc., in 1976, died Sunday at home.

Mr. Creel, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Slocomb, Ala., and moved to this area in 1939 from Trenton. He also was self employed in the Creel and North Fernery. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 year, Patricia; two sons, Guy and Damon, both of Seville; two daughters, Beverly North, Seville, and Kay Adams, DeLand; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.

CREEL, B. DURWARD – Funeral service for B. Durward Creel, 79, Lakeview Drive, Seville, who died at home March 12, 2000, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Seville with the Revs. Troy Ray and Rob Goodman officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Cade, Vann Cade, Jim Register, Jr., Charlie Rivers, Bob Kilkenny and Morris Becker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Freeman Greenlund, J. W. Register, St., Pasco Cade, Michael Braddock, Earl Purvis, Tommy Loadholtz, Don Schaeffer, Forest Cade and Myrl Henry.

Burial will be in Seville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home today (Tuesday) from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mr. Creel was born in Slocomb, Ala. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seville and was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired in 1976 from Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Auto Train, Inc. He was self-employed at Creel and North Fernery.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Creel, Seville; two sons, Guy and Damon Creel, both of Seville; two daughters, Kay Adams, DeLand and Beverly Creel North, Seville; grandchildren, Shannon Pugh, Shane Creel, Renee Rutherford, Kimi Raulerson, Derrick North and Dalton and Joshua Creel; and great-grandchildren Darren, Cheyenne and Dakota North and Hunter Dodrill.

Mr. Creel was self-employed in the Creel and North Fernery. He retired in 1976 as an employee of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Auto Train Inc. Born in Slocomb, Ala., he moved to this area in 1939 from Trenton, Fla.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seville.

Mr. Creel served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
