Samuel Flowers of Seville, passed away Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the age of 70, after a long illness.

He was born and raised in North Carolina and lived there until his coming to Florida about 35 years ago. He spent a short time in Jacksonville and then removed to Seville where he has lived continuously until the time of his death.

In 1899, he was married to Rebecca Barnes. To this union two children were born, Morris and Bertha.

A beautiful and impressive funeral service was conducted at the Seville Baptist Church by Rev. Miller. The body was then laid to rest in the Seville Cemetery.

Left to morn his loss are his widow, his two children, one sister, Mrs. M. F. Waters, Mt. Olive, N. C., two brothers, D. L. Flowers, Calypso, N. C. and A. M. Flowers of Seville.

The pallbearers were A. D. Prevatt, O. W. Prevatt, J. B. Bacon, E. C. Byrd, R. B. Owens and W. D. Graham.

Mr. Flowers was a man of sterling character and genial personality. He had made a host of friends as was evidenced by the crowded church and the numerous and beautiful floral offerings.

Mr. Flowers, one of Seville's pioneers, died suddenly Friday evening. His health has been failing for the past two years.

Services were held at the Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon, Everyone could not find seating.
