Albert "Bubba" Riley Malphurs, 76, Florida Cracker, born Bunnell, FL and raised in Seville, FL, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2009 at his longtime residence in Pomona Park.

A simple man, Bubba was completely devoted to his family and enjoyed the tradition of ranching. After 38 years he retired from the United States Department of Agriculture where he worked in livestock health inspection. He served his country proudly with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Prior to failing health he attended the First Baptist Church of Pomona Park where he was a member.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dena Kay Malphurs.

Survivors are his beloved wife and best friend of 48 years, Jane S. Malphurs; sons, Michael A. Malphurs and wife, Tammy of Deltona, FL, Stewart H. Malphurs of Pomona Park, FL; daughter, Carol L. Davis of Pomona Park, FL; brother, Joseph Randall Malphurs and wife, Lillian of Pomona Park, FL; sister, Wanda Aiken and husband, Walter of Belleview, FL; grandchildren who affectionately called him " Pop", Brandi P. Malphurs, Jake M. Malphurs, Logan C, Malphurs, Sgt. 1st Class, Matthew A. Davis and wife, Kristen; great-granddaughter, Keeley A. Davis.

Graveside Service will be today (Saturday, January 10, 2009), 2:00 p.m. at Seville Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the honor guard from Patrick Air Force Base.

There are no calling hours planned. Albert's family invites friends to visit their home, 250 Pomona Landing Road, Pomona Park, FL 32181 from now until the day of the graveside service.
