Coy Mew, who has been a resident of Flagler Beach for the past five years, passed away at the, Halifax District Hospital in Daytona Highlands last Friday afternoon, after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were held in Daytona Beach Saturday afternoon, after which the body was taken to Seville for interment. Numerous friends from different parts of the county attended the services and contributed many beautiful floral offerings.

Mr. Mew was a native of Tabor, N. C., where he lived most of his life and from whence he came to Flagler Beach.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha Mew, and two brothers who reside in Seville.

A son of the deceased, Joseph William Mew, was a private in Company H, 26th Infantry, in the World war and was killed in action in France.
