SEVILLE - Richard Wilson Mew, 61, of Mew Road, died Sept. 7, 2005, at his home. The funeral service for him was scheduled for 11 a.m. today, Monday, Sept. 12, at First Baptist Church of Seville, 1875 Church St., with the Rev. Robert Goodman and the Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Seville Cemetery.
Mr. Mew retired from the fern industry. Born in Fort Lauderdale, he lived in Seville most of his life.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Seville, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially auto racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Mew served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Grace P.; his father, Cleveland W. of Seville; one son, Randall and his wife, April, of Lakeland; one daughter, Roxanne Butcher and her husband, Michael, of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Taylor and Savannah Mew, and Garrett and Gavin Butcher.
The family wanted to express a special thanks to Susan and Alan Nelson and family of Orange City.
