Funeral services for Ernest Meyer, 64, were held at the Seville Methodist Church at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. E. S. Ritch, assisted by the Rev. I. S. Murphy, officiating.

My. Meyer was killed instantly Friday, April 24th, when his car was struck by a northbound train near Seville.

The deceased was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, March 13, 1878. He came to the United States at the age of 25 and settled in New York City, later going to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he married Miss Signe Christine Anderson of Minneapolis in 1910. In 1913 he became a naturalized citizen of the U. S.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer with their son, Conrad, came to Seville in 1920 where they have made their home and been successful in the citrus and fern-growing industries.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Signe Meyer, and one son, Conrad of Jacksonville.

The Crescent City Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: E. E. Byrd, Russell Pierson, Guy Harvey, George Causey, John Steele, Erik Prevatt, John Graham, R. L. Smith, C. H. DeWalt, O. W. Prevatt, T. E. Register, T. H. Prevatt, M. Champlin, Frank Brooks and T. C. Mask.

Out-of-town frienda present at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Luis Buchmann, Mr. and Mrs. Marfeller, Mr. and Mrs. Ansorge, all of Ormond; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grassly and Mrs.  Walter Ruddlinger, all of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Lee Weedon of Fort Myers.
