Edgar D. Miles, Jr., 51, of Pierson, died Wednesday of an apparent heart attack while driving in Putnam County.
A native of Baxley, Ga., Mr. Miles had lived in the Pierson and Seville area most of his life. He worked for the Hudson Pulp Mill in Palatka for the past four years and managed the West Volusia Ice and Storage Co. in Pierson.
Mr. Miles survived by his wife, Marceile; his mother, Mrs. Patsy Miles of Seville; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Hervey of Jacksonville and Mrs. Cherill Shreve of DeLand; four sons, Edgar of the U.S. Army stationed in Fort Stewart, Ga., Roger of Jacksonville, James of Valdosta, Ga. and Bobby of Pierson; one brother, William of Seville; one sister, Wanell Prevatt of Seville; and three grandchildren.
MILES, EDGAR D. JR. – Funeral services for Edgar D. Miles, Jr., 51, of Pierson, who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Clayton Frank and Sons Funeral Home in Crescent City with the Rev. Sylvester Williams, officiating.
Burial will be in the Seville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be employees of the West Volusia Ice and Storage Company in Pierson. The Clayton Frank and Sons Funeral Home of Crescent City is in charge.
