Porter Alexander Miller (1866-1952), 65, of Crescent City, was accidentally killed Saturday morning while handling a 12-gauge single barrel shotgun. Miller had been a life-long resident of Crescent City and a fruit grower.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. A. L. Everhardt, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. George M. (Dessie Odell) Braddock of Crescent City; and five grandchildren.

Coroner Clayton Frank stated there was no need for a coroner’s jury.

Arrangements, in charge of Clayton Frank and Sons Funeral Home will be announced later.
