FUNERAL OF MR. OWENS HELD AT SEVILLE, FLA.

Funeral services for Melvin G. Owens, who died here April 11th, were held at the Baptist Church in Seville, Fla. Wednesday afternoon, April 12th, with interment in the Seville Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev I. S. Murphy and Rev. I. D. Robinson.

The choir composed of Mrs. Henry Carter, Mrs. Edgar Smith, Mrs. Estus Dixon and Miss Dorothy Carter, sang “Rock of Ages,” and “Amazing Grace,” with Miss Gwendolyn Newman at the piano and T. V. Newman as chorister.

The pall-bearers were Osro Carter, T. R. Sweat, E. C. Byrd, W. A. Byrd, Shelton Loadholtz and T. V. Newman.

Among those from out-of-town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs.  C. A. Fleming, Tifton; Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Owens, R. B. Owens, Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferies, Mr. and Mrs. Julian T. Smith, Archie Owens, Mrs. Kicklighter and Mrs. Alice Taylor, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Owens of Sarasota, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Langford of Newberry, Fla.; Mr. O. J. Owens of DeLand, Fla. And Mr. Joe Owens of DeLeon Springs, Fla. and Mrs. Lawton K. Owens and Master Malcom Owens of Seville.
