Joe E. Pittman, 86, of Bunnell, died Sunday in Bunnell General Hospital.

Born in Baxley, Ga., Mr. Pittman lived in the rural areas of West Volusia and Flagler counties for 70 years. A retired farmer and World War I veteran, Mr. Pittman was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mormon in Bunnell.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Mrs. Jewell Crawford of Kissimmee, Mrs. Patience Purvis and Mrs. Gladys Stone, both of Seville; two step-sons, Bill Adams of Winter Haven and L. D. Adams of Akron, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family requests donations be made to the building fund of the Mormon church in Bunnell or a favorite charity.

The Craig Funeral Home in Bunnell is in charge of arrangements.

PITTMAN, JOE E. – Funeral services for Mr. Joe E. Pittman, 86, Bunnell who died Sunday, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bunnell with internment in Seville Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Mrs. Jewell Crawford of Kissimmee, Mrs. Patience Purvis and Mrs. Gladys Stone, both of Seville; two step-sons, Bill Adams of Winter Haven and L. D. Adams of Akron, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 9 p.m. (Monday) and from 1 until the hours of service on Tuesday.
Mr. Pittman was born in Baxley, Ga. He resided in West Volusia and Flagler counties for the past 70 years. He was a retired farmer and veteran of World War I.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the building fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bunnell, or to your favorite charity.

Joe E. Pittman, 86, a retired farmer, died this week at Bunnell General Hospital. He made his home at Palm Terrace Trailer Park, Bunnell.

Mr. Pittman, a native of Baxley, Ga., had lived in West Volusia and Flagler counties for the past 70 years. For many years he lived in Seville.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include his widow, Margaret; three daughters, two step-sons; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of remembrances, the family requests contributions to the building fund of the Church of Latter Day Saints or to a favorite charity.
